So - what are the pros and cons of corporate blogging???

Apparently our varied stakeholders now expect a personal touch to discemination of corporate information and blogging is it.  The problem is that most senior executives aren't exactly journalists.  Indeed within the regulatory environment in which they operate - it is difficult to see how they can provide a view that is anything but anodyne.  Worse, they are all busy people, and if a continuous flow of articulation is not forthcoming, all blogging objectives look fantastically faddish.  But at least with the advent of the modern spell-checker management can feign literacy...
